This really caught our eyes on Facebook:

” In previous centuries in Britain, vast armies of people spent their working lives in domestic service. The stories that developed ‘below stairs’ are shared and preserved in the kitchens, pantries and sculleries at some of our historic houses. Here are a few of the best places to find them: https://bit.ly/1kGPwVn ”

We love to get inspiration for different kitchens, its always a good idea to find some inspiration in kitchens which have been tried and tested throughout the years. National Trust looks after many fabulous kitchens which are fascinating to take a look at. Many of there historic houses have sculleries, kitchens, dairies, butlers’ pantries, servants’ bedrooms and other ‘downstairs’ rooms that you can explore. We put a few of the best places on the map for you. We think they are well worth a visit so why not add them into your weekend trip plans.
