Some of the Best Interior Design Blogs on the Web

There are many interior design blogs around at the moment and they can really help you to get inspired about decorating your home.

However as there are so many it can often be quite daunting at first and therefore we compiled a list of our favourite Interior Design blogs to help you.

1. Decor8

This blog wreated by Holly Becker who has since gone on to write two bestselling books called; Decorate – 1,000 Design Ideas For Every Room in Your Home, and the other; Decorate Workshop: Design and Style Your Space in 8 Creative Steps.

She has also written a third book on decorating with flowers and gives advice on every different style of home from the classic to the extravagant.

The blog also tells you where you can purchase items, which is very useful if you find something you really like. The blog also contains a page dedicated to kitchen inspiration, helping you to get creative.

2. My Friend’s House

This blog is created by two friends in South London who have been working in interior design for 12 years and running the blog from 2009.

The blog gives a personal impression as they often post pictures of their own home and decorating dilemmas.

They often use quite bold colours and patterns but in a tasteful manner. There blogs cover everything for example whether to choose a fridge freezer to match your kitchen.

3. Bodie and Fou

This blog contains everything from house tours to outfit perception to fitness tips.

It focuses mainly on the classic style with white walls and the odd splash of colour here and there.

If you dare to go all white in your kitchen then this blog is definitely for you.

The blog is also very easy to navigate and when clicking on an photograph it allows you to shop for all the items in that image.

4. The Beat That My Heart Skipped

The heading reads ‘ A blog dedicated to daily design inspiration’ and that is exactly what it does.

It was created by Rohini Wahi, a London-based journalist and trend consultant. She has worked on many famous interior magazines such as Elle Decoration and Living Etc.

The blog reflects everything that Rohini finds in London and therefore if you are living in London it may be very useful. An example of one of her blogs is about kitchen flooring called, finding the natural in vinyl flooring.

5. Apartment Therapy

This blog contains posts from all around the world and therefore has a mixture of styles and tastes.

Often people will post their own kitchen renovations with a before and after image, these can provide useful tips and advice.

This site contains picture posts of their latest interior design projects around London such as Notting Hill.

It is a Scandinavian inspired blog and their design reflects this as their posts emphasise minimalistic, simplistic and functional pieces.
